Turn these quick and easy cheese & tomato filled croissants into fun crabs for a cute beach or ocean themed party food idea for kids!
I'm celebrating summer and the amazing weather we've been having recently with another fun beach themed recipe today - super easy cheese and tomato croissant crabs!
This fun recipe makes great party food for a beach or ocean themed party, or you can pack them in lunch box for a fun lunch time surprise.
This recipe was originally shared here on the Eats Amazing blog on the 9th July 2018. I’ve now updated this post with a brand new tutorial video so you can see exactly how they are made!
Be sure to check out my recipe video so you can see just how easy these are to make!
I filled my croissant crabs with cheese and tomato before baking in the oven but you can use any filling you like. Ham and cheese is always a hit in our house too or you could stick with the ocean theme and serve them cold with prawns or tuna mayo.
This recipe is really quick and easy to make, so perfect for making in bulk for a party! You can make them up in advance and bake just before eating, or bake ahead and serve them cold.
I used my favourite googly eye picks to add eyes to the crabs - you can find them in the Eats Amazing Shop here: Eye Picks Set 1 & Eye Picks Set 2.
