    This fun homemade strawberry milkshake ice cubes recipe makes a perfect summer drink for kids parties or tea parties and is great for using up leftover strawberries.

    How to make healthy strawberry milkshake ice cubes for kids - easy summer drink recipe from Eats Amazing UK

    Today I have an easy summer recipe for you, for healthy strawberry milkshake ice cubes! These fun ice cubes are made with fresh strawberries and are perfect for adding extra flavour and fun to a plain glass of milk without lots of added sugar.

    Serve these cute pink ice cubes up at summer parties, tea parties or just at after school snack time, or you could even have them as special breakfast treat.

    Leave them to melt a little and you'll have instant strawberry milkshake, without any added colours or flavourings. The completely natural pretty pink colour is perfect for princess themed parties too!

    The recipe is really easy, so it's a great one to make with little ones. They can help you wash and hull the strawberries, measure out the other ingredients and pour the mixture into the ice tray. They'll love testing the final results too, of course!

    Easy strawberry milkshake ice cubes recipe made with fresh strawberries - fun summer drink for kids parties

    Strawberry Milkshake Ice Cubes

    Ingredients (makes 12-15 cubes):

    • 250g fresh strawberries
    • 100ml semi-skimmed milk
    • 1 Tbsp honey (optional)
    • ½ tsp vanilla extract

    How to make strawberry milkshake ice cubes - ingredients

    Method: 

    Wash, hull and quarter the strawberries.

    Place the strawberries in a food processor then add the milk, honey (if using) and vanilla extract.

    Blend until smooth, then pour into an ice cube tray.

    Freeze for several hours or overnight until solid

    Once frozen, pop out of the ice cube tray and place several cubes in a glass.

    Fill the glass with plain milk to serve.
