Halloween is nearly upon us and I've got the perfect last minute treats to share with you today! These cute Halloween Peanut butter balls are absolutely delicious and with only 5 ingredients, a great quick and easy Halloween recipe for kids!

How to make fun and easy Halloween Mummy peanut butter balls - cute Halloween recipe for kids

I was recently challenged to create a spooky SKIPPY® treat with smooth, creamy, delicious SKIPPY® Peanut Butter. Perfect for spreading and baking, with more than 91% high quality peanuts in every jar, American-style SKIPPY® Peanut Butter is a great ingredient for Halloween treats.

I got a bit carried away when I was recipe testing and made not one, but three different Halloween themed varieties of these yummy Peanut butter balls! As well as these cute Mummy themed treats, I've also shared recipes for Peanut Butter Pumpkins and Peanut Butter Monsters on the blog today.

Cute Halloween themed peanut butter balls made with with SKIPPY Peanut Butter

I used the smooth variety of SKIPPY® Peanut Butter for this recipe, which is made  with sweeter peanuts sourced from the Americas that have a finer grind which just melts in the mouth. It was perfect for the peanut butter balls, making for an extra smooth and creamy treat! Fans of crunchier peanut butter can also enjoy the Extra Crunchy variety which contains large peanut pieces in a deliciously creamy mix.

To see just how easy these yummy peanut butter balls are to make, check out my recipe video above (or click here if the video doesn't load for any reason). You'll also find the full recipe for the Mummy Peanut Butter Balls below, and the other two versions here: Peanut Butter Pumpkins and Peanut Butter Monsters.

    Mummy Peanut Butter Balls

    Ingredients (makes 15):

    • 60g butter
    • 175g SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Smooth
    • 275g icing sugar
    • 100g white chocolate
    • edible candy eyeballs

    Method:

First heat the butter until just melted. You can do this in a small saucepan on the hob or in the microwave.

Measure the SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Smooth into a large bowl, then pour over the melted butter.

Whisk the two ingredients together until smooth and full combined.

Add the icing sugar and whisk again until it is completely mixed in. Your mixture should resemble breadcrumbs at this point, so pull it together with clean hands to form a dough.

Line a small baking tray or plate with greaseproof or baking paper.

Break off pieces of the dough and roll into walnut-sized balls. Place them on the lined tray and chill in the fridge for at least 15 minutes

Melt the white chocolate and spoon into a disposable piping bag or small freezer bag. Snip the corner off the bag and pipe a generous zigzag of chocolate lines over the top of each chilled peanut butter ball, so that they resemble mummies.

Working quickly, add 2 edible candy eyeballs to the top of each mummy.

Chill the peanut butter mummies in the fridge again until the white chocolate has completely set.

    Serve and enjoy!

I'm not usually a fan of food that looks at me, but that's super cute!
