These cute and easy Star Wars Wookiee Chocolate Crispy Cakes are perfect to celebrate Star Wars Day for easy Star Wars party food for kids!

Today I created three fun Star Wars themed food ideas in celebration of Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you!) and I'm sharing instructions for making the Star Wars inspired Wookiee Chocolate Crispy Cakes in this post.

This is a really quick and easy recipe and the wookiee cakes make a fun treat that kids will love both making and eating! They're also ideal party treats for a Star Wars themed party. You can see all three of my fun new Star Wars food ideas over in my Star Wars Inspired Snack Ideas post along with a video tutorial for them all.

This recipe was based on traditional no-bake chocolate cornflake cakes. I swapped the cornflakes for shredded wheat to give the texture and impression of hairy-faced wookiees. They came out a little wonky but the kids loved them, which is the most important thing!

    Chocolate Wookiee Crispy Cakes

    Ingredients (makes 6):

    • 200g milk chocolate
    • 3 full size shredded wheat biscuits
    • 3 minstrels chocolates
    • 12 x candy eyeballs

    Method:

Break up the milk chocolate and place it in a microwave safe bowl.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring between each one to ensure it melts evenly. Be careful not to overheat or burn the chocolate, heat only until just melted and smooth.

Gently crush the shredded wheat over the bowl of chocolate.

Working quickly, stir the mixture until the shredded wheat is broken up and fully coated in the chocolate.

Spoon the mixture into 6 silicone cupcake cases.

Slice the minstrels in half, then push one half into the top of each cake, cut-side down for the noses.

Finish each wookiee cake off with two candy eyeballs.

Pop in the fridge until the chocolate has set, then serve and enjoy.
