Today I created three fun Star Wars themed food ideas in celebration of Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you!) and I'm sharing instructions for making the Star Wars inspired Babybel Cheese Death Star in this post. These is a really quick and easy edible craft and it makes a fun little snack! It's also perfect for popping in lunch boxes or make a whole batch of them to go with your party food for a Star Wars themed party. You can see all three fun Star Wars food ideas over in my Star Wars Inspired Snack Ideas post along with a video tutorial for them all.
Babybel Cheese Death Star
Ingredients:
- Mini Babybel Cheese
Equipment:
- Mini circle cutter
- Small sharp knife
Method:
Peel off the outer wrapper of the cheese and discard, leaving the wax intact.
With a mini cutter (try using the base of a piping nozzle if you don't have a mini cutter) cut a small circle from the wax, close to the edge. Remove the circle and discard.
Cut and remove a thin sliver from the wax below the circle for the central ring of the Death Star.
With the tip of the knife, scratch lines into the surface of the wax for the surface design of the Death Star.
Serve immediately or pack as a fun lunch box surprise!
