These cute monster themed teacakes are super quick to make for a fun and easy Halloween dessert or monster party food idea for kids!

If you're planning a Halloween party this year, these super easy Monster Teacakes make a great last minute Halloween dessert idea.

Like the Eyeball Teacakes I shared earlier this month, they take just minutes to create and they’re sure to be a hit at any Halloween Party!

When you're feeding a crowd, time savers are a must so this easy cheats recipe makes great fun Halloween party food - minimum effort for maximum effect!

I used a selection of different coloured candy melts - green, orange and yellow - for my teacake monsters, but you could use any combination of colours or just one colour if you prefer.

    Easy Monster Teacakes

    Ingredients (makes 12):

    • 12 teacakes
    • 100g green candy melts
    • 100g orange candy melts
    • 100g yellow candy melts
    • handful large candy eyeballs
    • handful small candy eyeballs

Ingredients needed for Halloween monster teacakes

    Method:

Lay the teacakes out on a lined baking tray or plate (check that it will fit in your fridge first!).

Place each colour of candy melt into separate microwave safe bowls and melt one of them following package instructions. Be careful not to burn them – they melt very quickly!

Once melted, spoon them into a disposable piping bag or small plastic freezer bag.

Snip the corner off, then pipe in a random squiggly pattern over the top of a tea cake. Repeat with 3 more teacakes.

Working quickly, add an assortment of large and small candy eyeballs to the top of each decorated teacake to turn them into monsters.

Repeat with the other two colours of candy melts until all of your teacakes are decorated.

Once finished, place the tray of monster teacakes in the fridge to harden and set - about 15 to 20 minutes should be enough.
