Today I’m sharing some of my favourite fun food recipes and tutorials for cute and easy vegetable snacks. These ideas all make vegetables super fun and are a great way to get older kids to try vegetables they would normally be unwilling to give a go.
Below you’ll find links to 10 fun food tutorials that I hope will help your kids, whatever their age, get excited about vegetables. They’re all really easy to prepare and fun!
Carrot & Cucumber Coins - These carrot coins are very quick and easy to make, and are great as a fun snack, or to pop in a lunch box too.
Minion Salad - This recipe makes a lovely child-friendly meal that the whole family can enjoy. You could also pack it up in a tub or lunch box for a fun and healthy meal on the go.
Rainbow Food Art Plate - This is really fun and easy to throw together and can be finished off with some yummy chocolate coins as a treat.
Totamto & Grape Hearts - These cute and healthy little hearts take just seconds to make and are perfect for popping in lunch boxes, party food, or just serving up as a fun and healthy snack for kids.
Avocado Monster Pudding Pots - Also known as ‘monster chocolate pudding pots’ in our house. This recipe is dairy free and nut free, and could easily be made vegan and free from refined sugar by replacing the marshmallows with slices of banana.
Rainbow Vegetable Sushi - I filled our sushi rolls with a rainbow of vegetables, but you can experiment and use any fillings you like. The only limit is your imagination!
Sweetcorn Smoothies - They’re great for summer breakfasts, a healthy snack or even a dessert – there’s never a bad time to eat a smoothie bowl!
Pepper Boats - These are so quick and easy to put together, you could easily make them in bulk as a fun side dish for a summer barbecue or kids party food.
Courgette Pizza Bites - Not just a fun snack or delicious side dish, these veggie bites are so easy that kids can make them themselves, with a little supervision for the hot oven of course. They’re also an excellent way of using up excess courgettes.
Vegetable Nests - These healthy alternatives to chocolate nests are so quick and easy to make and are made from nothing but raw vegetables – perfect as a fun after school snack idea.
I hope you that you and your children will enjoy these fun vegetable snacks – which is your favourite?
