Continuing on from pretty unicorn chocolate apples I shared in my last post, I've got another fun and easy Bonfire Night recipe to share with you today, this time for easy pretzel stick sparklers.

How to make easy chocolate pretzel edible sparklers - fun food for kids for Bonfire Night or New Years Eve party food - Eats Amazing UK

These cute edible sparklers make a lovely treat for a bonfire night party (they'd be perfect for New Year's Eve too!) and they're a great way of using up any leftover chocolate from making chocolate dipped apples.

Be sure to check out my recipe video so you can see just how easy these are to make!

The sweet and salty combination of the pretzels and chocolate is absolutely delicious, we can't get enough of them!

We used white chocolate to make our sparklers, but you can use milk or dark chocolate if you prefer. We used hundreds and thousands and star sprinkles to decorate them, but again, you can use whatever sprinkles you have in the cupboard.

For those of you in the UK looking for pretzel sticks, I found mine in the world foods section of my local supermarket, the ones I used were a Polish brand and were labelled Paluszki (google tells me this means bread sticks!).

Easy Pretzel Stick Sparklers

Ingredients:

  • 24 thin pretzel sticks
  • 100g white chocolate
  • hundreds and thousands
  • star sprinkles

Method:

Line a small baking tray with grease-proof or baking paper.

Break up the white chocolate and place it in a microwave safe bowl.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring between each one to ensure it melts evenly. Be careful not to overheat or burn the chocolate, heat only until just melted and smooth.

Dip the end of each pretzel stick in the white chocolate. Allow the excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl, then lay the pretzel stick on the lined baking tray.

Repeat until you have coated as many pretzel sticks as you need.

Working quickly, sprinkle the hundreds and thousands over the chocolate coated ends of the pretzel sticks.

Stick a few star sprinkles onto each pretzel stick to decorate.

Place the tray in the fridge to chill until the chocolate is completely hard and set - about 10-15 minutes

Remove from the fridge and store somewhere cool in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Enjoy!
