Child-Friendly Maple Mustard Sausages

Ingredients:

  • 30 cocktail sausages (uncooked)
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbs american style mild yellow mustard

Method:

Start by pre-heating the oven to 200°C (Gas mark 6/400°F).

Lightly oil a small roasting tin or baking tray then add the sausages.

Roast the sausages in the oven for 20 minutes until cooked through and brown.

Meanwhile, prepare the glaze. Measure the maple syrup and mustard into a small bowl and whisk together until well combined.

Once cooked, remove the sausages from the oven and drain all the fat from the roasting tin.

Pour the maple mustard glaze over the sausages.

Toss to completely coat the sausages, then return to the oven for 5 minutes.

Notes: You can serve these sausages warm or cold, but they're definitely best served warm!

To make in advance, cook the sausages then drain and quickly cool. Store covered in the fridge until ready to use, then toss in the glaze and bake in the oven for 10 minutes until heated through.

There's no better pairing than bangers and spuds (sausages and potatoes!) for Bonfire Night and these yummy potato recipes would all go perfectly with these delicious sausages:
