The 5th November is Bonfire Night here in the UK (also known as Guy Fawkes Night or Fireworks Night) and I've been very busy in the kitchen this week dreaming up some new treats for the occasion!

I'm sharing 4 yummy Bonfire Night treats in this post, with my spin on traditional toffee apples (chocolate makes a much easier substitute if you're making them yourself!), a delicious toffee apple chocolate bark and some edible sparklers for the kids to enjoy.

4 Fun and Easy Treat recipes for Bonfire Night including chocolate apples popcorn bark and edible pretzel sparklers - fun food for kids from Eats Amazing UK

Check out my quick video to showing you how to make all of these yummy bonfire treats!

For those of you outside the UK that might be wondering what all the fuss is about, here in the UK we celebrate Bonfire Night every year on the 5th November. Also known as Guy Fawkes night or Fireworks night, this British tradition celebrates the foiling of the gunpowder plot back in 1605, when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament and King James I with it. We celebrate it with bonfires, firework displays, sparklers and of course plenty of food!

Traditional foods for Bonfire Night include 'bangers and spuds' (sausages and potatoes!), toffee apples, cinder toffee and parkin (ginger) cake. I've put my own spin on the traditional with these sweet treats, but I do like to shake things up a bit from year to year.

You'll find all of the recipes from the video above here on the blog, to find out how to make each one, click on the images below to be taken to the individual recipes, where you'll also find printable recipe cards.
