This quick and easy toffee apple chocolate bark recipe with popcorn makes the perfect autumn family treat for bonfire night celebrations!
This toffee apple chocolate bark is a delicious autumn treat the whole family will love.
With smooth dark chocolate and a generous scattering of toffee popcorn, it's the perfect treat to enjoy with your fireworks on Bonfire Night!
I created this easy recipe to use up the dark chocolate left over from making my firework chocolate apples, but it also works well as a standalone recipe.
Be sure to check out my recipe video so you can see just how easy these are to make, and look out for more fun bonfire night recipe ideas in the video too!
I used dark chocolate but you could also make it with milk or white chocolate if you prefer, or a combination of both swirled together!
This popcorn bark recipe is so simple and delicious, it would make a great cooking project for children as it's easy enough for them to make themselves, or with just a little help for the little ones.
Toffee Apple Popcorn Chocolate Bark
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate
- 30g chopped dried apple
- 50g toffee popcorn
- 30g mini fudge cubes
Method:
Line a baking tray with grease-proof or baking paper.
Break up the dark chocolate and place it in a microwave safe bowl.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring between each one to ensure it melts evenly. Be careful not to overheat or burn the chocolate, heat only until just melted and smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate onto the lined baking tray. Using the back of a spoon or spatula, spread the chocolate around so that it covers the tray in a thin, even layer.
Scatter the chopped dried apple evenly over the chocolate, followed by the toffee popcorn and the mini fudge cubes.
Place the tray in the fridge and chill until the chocolate is hard and completely set - around 15-20 minutes.
Once set, remove from the fridge, carefully peel from the grease-proof paper and cut or break into pieces.
Enjoy!
