They'd be great for Halloween party food too - you could make one or two to use as a centrepiece in a fruit platter, make a whole plate of them or dot them around the table for everyone to enjoy! Just be sure to warn everyone about the cocktail sticks inside the legs before serving.

    Fig and Raisin Spiders

    Ingredients (makes 3):

    • 3 figs
    • big handful raisins
    • 24 cocktail sticks
    • 6 edible candy eyes
    • 1 tube writing icing

    Method:

    Serve and enjoy!

Note: If you're making these yourself to serve to your child, be sure to warn them about the cocktail sticks inside the 'legs' first! The raisins should be pulled off the stick to eat them rather than eaten from the stick.
