Equipment

  • 24 cocktail sticks

Ingredients

  • 3 figs
  • big handful raisins
  • 6 edible candy eyes
  • 1 tube writing icing

Instructions

  • Carefully thread four or five raisins onto a cocktail stick, leaving a section clear on one end to push into the fig. Repeat until you have eight raisin 'legs'.
  • Push the eight legs into the fig, four on each side.
  • Stick two candy eyeballs onto each spider, using writing icing as the glue (or go wild and give him the full eight eyes!).
  • Repeat with the remaining figs until you have as many spiders as you want.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Note: If you're making these to serve to a child, be sure to warn them about the cocktail sticks inside the 'legs' first! The raisins should be pulled off the stick to eat them rather than eaten from the stick.
