As you may have seen me mention in some of my recent blog posts, this month I have been working with My Fairy Garden, who commissioned me to create three fun new recipes to complement their brand new Fairy Garden kit - the Fairy Kitchen Garden. This recipe is for some cute and easy rice cake fairy faces - a really fun little snack that kids can make themselves!

Fun and healthy snack for kids - easy rice cake fairy faces recipe made with home grown cress and pea shoots

I created this easy recipe using cress and pea shoots grown in our Fairy Kitchen Garden. I used cream cheese topped rice cakes as a base, crunchy vegetables and blueberries to create the fairy faces, then finished them off with home grown cress and pea shoots for fairy hair.

These fun fairy faces would be a great activity for a garden or fairy themed party for kids, or to make in bulk for healthy party food snacks.

My boys loved these fun fairy rice cakes and I've had several requests to make them again since I first created them!

The lovely thing about this recipe is that the kids can make their own fairy faces as a fun kitchen activity, then eat them all up as a fun snack at the end. It's a great way to encourage creativity and have fun in the kitchen at the same time, and the kids were so excited to be able to use ingredients that they'd grown themselves as part of the recipe.
