Cheese & Tomato Santa Hats
Ingredients (makes 12):
- 4 cheese slices (I used mozzarella)
- 12 baby plum tomatoes
- 12 mini cheese pearls*
Method:
Place one slice of cheese on top of another and use a mini circle cutter to cut 6 cheese circles. Repeat with the other two slice of cheese to create 12 cheese circles in total.
Using a small sharp knife, cut one end off each baby plum tomato.
Place the tomatoes cut side down on top of the cheese circles to form hats.
Top each tomato 'hat' with a cheese pearl for the pom pom.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
*Note: I found mini goats cheese pearls in the supermarket that were perfect for this recipe, however if you can't find them, try cutting up small pieces of mozzarella or pipe on little dots of cream cheese instead.
You can serve these fun tomato Santa hats just as they are, or use them to make cute Santa sandwich skewers for an extra festive lunch or tea!
