A Week of Fun Ocean Themed Lunches

Today I've got another week's worth of super easy, quick and healthy kids lunch ideas to share, and in honour of National Marine Week which is this week, they are all ocean themed. I've been so busy in the kitchen this summer, I've got quite a queue of recipes to share with you over the next few weeks, but I thought it was about time I shared some more lunch ideas as the new school year is approaching and we've got a whole year of lunch packing ahead of us!

Though these lunches have an ocean theme, they are all easy to make, just normal lunches with a few added bento accessories for extra fun. I often use sandwich cutters, bento picks and cupcake picks to add themes to my lunches, these little touches take just seconds to add but create instant fun lunches that my boys love!

Ocean Lunch 1

In this lunch: rolled wraps stuffed with cream cheese, roast chicken breast chunks and lettuce, raw yellow pepper sticks, baby cucumber, doughnut peach, strawberries, grapes, blueberries and a couple of Organix mini oaty bites. The lunch was packed in our orange Yumbox bento box and decorated with ocean themed bento picks and under the sea themed cupcake picks.

Ocean Lunch 2

In this lunch: ham & houmous sandwiches in seeded bread, cut into dolphins using a cutter from the Lunch Punch Critter Cutters sandwich cutter set and decorated with edible candy eyeballs. On the side were raw carrot disks, baby cucumber, black grapes and yogurt covered raisins. This lunch was packed in our blue Yumbox Panino bento box and decorated with ocean themed bento picks and a seahorse from our under the sea themed cupcake picks set.

Ocean Lunch 3

In this lunch: buttered malt loaf slices, raw carrot sticks, cucumber, German sausage slices, rolled and skewered on boat bento picks, mini croutons, strawberries and natural yogurt with a swirl of honey. The lunch was packed in our orange Yumbox bento box and decorated with ocean themed bento picks and a starfish pick from our under the sea themed cupcake picks set.

Ocean Lunch 4

In this lunch: tortilla wraps, stuffed with cream cheese and roast beef, raw carrot disks and cucumber slices in brightly coloured silicone cupcake cases, chunks of melon, red grapes and some sesame snaps. This lunch was packed in our blue Yumbox Panino bento box and decorated with ocean themed bento picks and under the sea themed cupcake picks.

Ocean Lunch 5

In this lunch: A sandwich thin stuffed with ham, cut into dolphins using a cutter from the Lunch Punch Critter Cutters sandwich cutter set and decorated with edible candy eyeballs, raw carrot disks, natural yogurt and a chocolate dipped marshmallow. I also packed a snack box with clementine segments and star shaped pretzels. This lunch was packed in our dark pink Yumbox Panino bento box and decorated with ocean themed bento picks and the lobster from our under the sea themed cupcake picks set.
