Harry Potter fans will love this fun book themed bento lunch with cute owl sandwich and edible broomstick - perfect for World Book Day!
Yesterday was World Book Day, and all of this week I have been making book themed lunches for Small Child. Today I'm sharing his lunch from the day itself - I made a fun Harry Potter themed lunch to match his costume! Here's Small Child on his way to school - complete with a little Mrs Norris the cat (Small Baby).
In Small Child's Harry Potter lunch I packed an owl sandwich, made on seeded bread with sliced turkey and cream cheese. You can find full instructions for making the owl sandwich in my fun Halloween sandwiche ideas blog post. I also packed an edible broomstick, instructions for which can be found in my Harry Potter food blog post.
On the side I packed slices of raw bell pepper topped with a cat cupcake pick, raspberries and chunks of fresh mango topped with a witch cupcake pick and spider web cupcake ring, and some raisins topped with a few mini smarties to represent Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans. The fruit and vegetables were picked to match the Gryffindor colours of red and gold. This lunch was packed in our Yumbox Panino bento box.
Small Child loved having a lunch to match his World Book Day outfit! If you'd like more Harry Potter food ideas, do pop over and see my previous Harry Potter bento lunch, and you might also enjoy the rest of my World Book Day lunches.

Amazing costumes with an amazing lunch! He looks just like Harry Potter - I had to do a double take. I've just put up a Plum Fool made by my 3 year old. Thanks so much for hosting this. x

Thanks very much! I can't take too much credit for the Harry Potter costume - I bought it ready made, but it made Small Child very happy indeed! Thank you for linking up 🙂
