    Spider Web Smoothie Bowl

Today I have a simple smoothie bowl recipe to share with you. As you may have noticed if you regularly read the Eats Amazing blog, I'm in full on Halloween food mode here on the blog at the moment so of course my smoothie bowl has a fun Halloween twist!

Whilst keeping it full of healthy ingredients, I've turned the smoothie bowl into an extra fun breakfast by adding a spooky spider web design.

This took just an extra minute to do but was it worth the effort when my son gobbled it down with evident enjoyment - a very happy little recipe tester!

    • honey or maple syrup to taste

    Method:

Throw the frozen berries and apple juice into a blender and whizz together until smooth.

Add honey or maple syrup to taste then whizz up again until combined.

To make the spider web on top, first give the yogurt a good stir then spoon it into a small plastic bag and squeeze the yogurt into one corner.

Snip off the corner to form a piping bag.

Carefully pipe the yogurt onto the top of the smoothie bowl in a rough spiral pattern.

Using a skewer or cocktail stick, draw lines through the top of the smoothie bowl from middle to edges to make the spider web pattern.

Serve and enjoy - toy spiders optional!
