For today's post I've created a round up of my 10 favourite Valentines food ideas for kids. We don't celebrate Valentines Day in a big way in our house, but around this time of year I love breaking out the heart cutters and heart bento picks and using it as a great excuse to make fun heart themed food for and with my children! Here are some of my favourite Valentines themed food ideas!
Valentines Fruit Wands - this simple idea makes a fun healthy snack for this time of year and they're great for party food too!
Heart Topped Muffin Pizzas - these pizzas are great all the year around but they're easy to personalise for Valentines Day with heart shaped toppings, like the red pepper I've used here.
Food and flowers are both great expressions of love, so why not say it with both? These cute strawberry roses are much easier to make than they look!
Heart shaped eggs are a lovely way to say I love you - pop one in a lunch box, serve one up for breakfast or slice one up to add to a yummy healthy salad. Anna The Red has written a great tutorial for making heart shaped eggs with a chopstick and cardboard, but you can also buy heart shaped egg moulds that make it very easy.
I love packing Valentines themed lunches for my boys, it's a great excuse to make extra cute food without any complaints! Check out this Healthy Valentines Day Lunch Ideas post for lots more quick and easy ideas to make cute Valentines lunches.
These tomato and grape hearts are so simple to make and great for popping lunch boxes, serving up as a snack or using as a quick garnish for a Valentines Day meal, they always go down well with my boys!
