    How to Make Frankenstein Macarons for Halloween

    Today I’m sharing the third of 4 fun Halloween macaron designs.  These Frankenstein macarons are decorated with another easy but creepy design, perfect for jazzing up ghoulish green coloured macarons!

    As I mentioned in my previous spooky macaron posts, I got the inspiration for these  fun Halloween macarons when I came across a mixed box of ready-made macarons in the supermarket this week, however if you'd prefer to make your own macarons, I've also shared links to some great macaron recipes further down this post.

    If time is of the essence though or you just don't want to make macarons from scratch, my cheats trick of decorating shop-bought macarons works just as well!

    Frankenstein Monster Macarons

    Ingredients (makes 6): 

    • 6 small green coloured macarons
    • 1 black edible marker pen
    • small tube of ready made writing icing
    • 12 edible candy eyeballs

    How to make Frankenstein Monster Macarons - fun food idea for Halloween from Eats Amazing UK - ingredients needed

    Method: 

    Using a black edible marker pen, draw a zig-zag fringe and fill it in to the edge of the macaron. Be careful to draw lightly so that you don't go through the delicate macaron crust.

    Draw two straight lines for eyebrows.

    Using the writing icing, ‘glue’ two candy eyeballs onto each Frankenstein face.

    Finish each face by drawing on a mouth and stiches.

    Leave to dry for a minute or two, then place on a plate or platter to serve.

      Omgossh I love these and they look relatively simple to make 😀 I am a sucker for a macaroon, these are definitely on the treat list for my halloween party this weekend 🙂
