Winnie the Pooh Muffin Tin Meal

Today I was planning to make a Winnie the Pooh packed lunch, because in honour of A.A. Milne's birthday, today is Winnie the Pooh day.  However, it's snowing here, which means no school, so no school lunch (don't ask me why everything has to grind to a halt when it snows, I for one am happy to take any excuse to stay in bed a bit longer and not rush around for the school run!). I still wanted to honour good old Pooh Bear though, so I decided to make Small Child a themed muffin tin meal instead.

In his Muffin Tin Meal Small Child had some Pooh Bear shaped tortilla crisps (a tutorial for tortilla crisps can be found here), some houmous with a Winnie the Pooh knife to spread it with, carrot flowers, cucumber disks with striped 'bee' skin, a small pile of cheese oddities (mini crackers) and a halved organix carrot and tomato oat bar.  I decorated the meal with little plastic bees from a game Small Child has, and added the word 'HUNNY' in carrot letters.

I made a bee-themed dessert to go with the Muffin Tin Meal, which was made up of some stripey fruit kebabs (sliced banana and purple grapes on leaf skewers), and some organic coconut yoghurt in a star shaped silicone cup, drizzled with a little honey. I couldn't resist getting some more bees out to decorate dessert too, luckily Small Child was sensible enough not to eat any!

I hope you enjoyed this Winnie the Pooh themed post.  If you don't want the Pooh fun to end, check out this collection of links to other blogs who are celebrating the works of A.A. Milne through food today.  Many thanks for Kendra @ Biting The Hand That Feeds You for setting up this linky party!
