Today I have another really easy fun and healthy Halloween food idea to share with you - spooky yogurt pot ghosts! I haven't posted a lot here on the blog this week, but I've been working away behind the scenes developing lots of new ideas and recipes. I have a jam-packed blog schedule stuffed with fun Halloween food ideas coming up over the next two weeks, so watch this space for plenty of spooky foodie fun!
This idea is so simple, it takes just seconds to make one yogurt ghost so you could whip up a whole batch of them for a Halloween party in a matter of minutes! Even better, get the children to make them, it will keep them quiet for a few minutes at least and they'll love having the chance to eat their creations when they are done!
Not having a Halloween party? These yogurt pot ghosts are also perfect for lunch boxes, snack time or a quick dessert at home!
Yogurt Pot Ghosts
Supplies needed:
- individual pots of yogurt*
- googly eyes
- glue
- black marker pen
Method:
Carefully break the pack of yogurts into individual pots, taking care not to open any in the process.
Tip each pot upside down, then use the glue to stick a pair of googly eyes onto each one.
Use the marker pen to draw a mouth on each ghost. We left some without mouths, they looked just as cute!
Serve and enjoy!
*NOTES: Ideally, you need yogurt pots with no labels and a pale coloured yogurt inside - I used Yeo Valley Little Yeos as they are perfect for this project (and delicious!). If you can't find them or need to use another brand, try wrapping plain white paper around the labels instead before decorating.
Don't forget to pop the yogurts back in the fridge if you're not serving them immediately.
