Today I'm sharing some of my favourite fun food recipes and tutorials for cute and easy fruit snacks. These ideas all make fruit extra fun so they're great for getting kids to have a go with foods they might be unwilling to try otherwise.
Older children might like to try making them themselves too as a fun edible craft that can be eaten at the end!
Last week I had the amazing opportunity to give a talk about healthy eating to the whole of my 9 year old son's school. We talked about what should (and shouldn't) be in a healthy packed lunch, which foods that our body needs to be healthy, the Eatwell Guide and finally I showed them a few of my fun food video tutorials, proving that healthy 'boring' food is in fact fun food in disguise!
I was blown away by how excited the children were about this and have since had several parents coming up telling me that their children had been so excited they'd actually been asking to try healthy foods that they'd always rejected before. Apples and eggs were top of the 'to try' list so it would seem that turning them into bugs and mice really does work!
Below you'll find links to 10 fun food tutorials that I hope will help your kids get excited about fruit too. They're all cute, fun and totally doable, I promise!
