Today's Valentines recipe is super simple - cute heart themed easy vegetable kebabs for kids!
These fun skewers are a great way to serve up salad vegetables for kids, and best of all they are no-cook, so perfect for a quick snack or fun and healthy lunch box side.
I cut my vegetables into heart shapes to celebrate Valentines Day, but you can use any shapes you like, or just use 'as they come' chunks for zero waste!
These easy vegetable skewers are allergy friendly and great for healthy party food for kids - try cutting them into stars, flowers or fish shapes for space, fairy or ocean themed party food! You can easily make them in bulk yourself, or why not get the kids involved in cutting out the shapes and building their own kebabs.

Heart Themed Easy Vegetable Kebabs
Ingredients (makes 6):
- ½ cucumber
- 1 large carrot
- 6 baby plum tomatoes
- bamboo or plastic skewers
Method:
Slice the cucumber and carrot into thick slices, around 1 cm thick.
Using a small heart shaped cutter, cut hearts from the cucumber and carrot slices.
Slice a tomato diagonally in half, then spin one of the halves around to turn it into a heart. Repeat with the other tomatoes.
Carefully thread the carrot, cucumber and tomato hearts onto the skewers to make your vegetable kebabs.
Serve immediately or pack in a lunch box.
Enjoy!
Note: If not eating immediately, store in an air-tight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
