I've been having so much fun creating and sharing some new recipes and fun food ideas with your recently that I've built up quite a backlog of bento lunches in my photo archive, so today I'm going to share a whole week's worth of the Easter bento lunches that I've made for Small Child in the run up to the end of term.
Some of these are very simple as I'm well and truly ready for our Easter holiday (the clocks going forward at the weekend didn't help!), I've relied heavily on some of my favourite bento picks, but they all have an Easter theme to them!
One whole week of Easter bento lunches
In this lunch; Easter chick sandwich on soya and linseed bread, filled with roast chicken, yellow pepper strips (under the carrot), purple carrot flowers, raspberries, blueberries, raisins (under the cheese) and cubes of cheddar cheese. You can find full instructions for making this fun sandwich in my Fun Easter Sandwiches blog post.
The sandwich was placed on some silicone lettuce leaves to decorate and help hold it in place, and I decorated the rest of the lunch with chick bento picks, a flower and a bee bento pick, and a pretty 3D silicone flower bento pick. This lunch was packed in our Yumbox UK Panino bento box.
In this lunch; chick ham sandwiches, made using the chick cutter from this Easter themed plunger cutter set, shredded ham, topped with cute rabbit bento picks, baby sweetcorn and a 3D carrot rabbit made using this awesome 3D rabbit cutter set, strawberries and blueberries, topped with egg bento picks, natural yoghurt topped with a drizzle of maple syrup and some flower sprinkles, and some dried cranberries. This lunch was packed in our Yumbox UK Classic bento box.
In this lunch; egg shaped sandwiches filled with Italian sausage slices on seeded bread, a carrot and cucumber nest (see my Healthy Easter Nests blog post for details), strips of red pepper, rasberries and blueberries topped with a chick cupcake ring and egg bento picks. I finished the lunch off with a mini Babybel cheese, with a bunny cut from the wax to decorate using a mini bento cutter. This lunch was packed in our Addis lunch box.
