Today I'm sharing the first of several fun snowman themed food ideas that I've been making for my kids recently; cute and easy snowman snack cups!
These fun snowman snacks were inspired by all the snow I've been seeing on the news at the recently (but none here sadly, just the usual British rain!), so I've had snowmen on the brain!
Be sure to check out my recipe video so you can see just how easy these are to make!

These snowman snack cups would be great for a winter movie night - grab a blanket, some hot chocolate, a yummy snowman snack or two and snuggle up on the sofa with your kids for a fun night in!
If you're lucky enough to have snow, making these fun cups makes a great snow day activity to keep the kids entertained (and fed) if you're stuck indoors!
They'd also great for kids party food, I bet these would go down well at a winter or Frozen themed party!
Snowman Snack Cups
Ingredients:
- ⅓ cup (75g) popcorn kernels
- handful mini marshmallows
- handful dried coconut flakes
- handful white chocolate buttons
- strawberry laces (sweets)
Equipment:
- Clear or white plastic cups
- black and orange sharpie marker pens
Method:
Place the popcorn kernels in a saucepan, cover with a lid and heat on a medium heat until the kernels begin to pop. Keep the pan on the stove until the pops have slowed down, shaking it occasionally to avoid burning.
Tip the popcorn into a large bowl and leave to cool.
Once the popcorn is cool, add the mini marshmallows, coconut flakes and white chocolate buttons, then mix together with your hands to create the snack mix.
Take your cups and draw a snowman design on them with the sharpies. Tie a strawberry lace around each cup for a scarf, trimming the ends to the right length once in place.
Fill the cups with the snack mix and serve!
Notes: I've added some tasty treats to my snack mix, but feel free to skip the sweets or just use just plain popcorn if you'd like to keep them extra healthy.
You could also turn these into fun party favours, just pop each cup into a cellophane bag and tie at the top with ribbon to keep them fresh.
