Christmas is just around the corner, and I've got a delicious treat to share with you today! These fun snowman themed peanut butter cups would be perfect for homemade gifts or they'd make delicious treats to serve up for your family and friends this Christmas.
I made these easy peanut butter cups with with smooth, creamy, delicious SKIPPY® Peanut Butter. It's perfect for both spreading and baking, and with more than 91% high quality peanuts in every jar, American-style SKIPPY® Peanut Butter is a great ingredient for Christmas treats!
I used the smooth variety of SKIPPY® Peanut Butter for this recipe, which is made with sweeter peanuts sourced from the Americas that have a finer grind which just melts in the mouth. It was perfect for an extra smooth and creamy filling in my homemade peanut butter cups - when we were testing this recipe we just could stop eating them!
Fans of crunchier peanut butter can also enjoy the Extra Crunchy variety which contains large peanut pieces in a deliciously creamy mix. If you prefer some crunch in your peanut butter cups, you can use the Extra Crunchy variety in this recipe instead.

Snowman Peanut Butter Cups Recipe
Ingredients (makes 10):
- 300g white chocolate
- 100g SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Smooth
- 40g butter
- 60g icing sugar
- 10 orange or red smarties (chocolate beans)
- handful chocolate chips
Method:
Break 200g of the white chocolate into pieces and place it in a microwave safe bowl.
Melt the chocolate by cooking in the microwave for 30 second bursts, stirring between each one to ensure it melts evenly. Be careful not to overheat or burn the chocolate, heat only until just melted and smooth.
Divide the chocolate between 10 silicone cupcake cases. Use the back of a spoon to smooth the chocolate up the sides of the cases to make the outsides of the white chocolate cups.
Pop the white chocolate lined cupcake cases on a plate or tray and chill in the freezer for 10-15 minutes until set.
Meanwhile, place the SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Smooth in a mixing bowl. Melt the butter and add to the SKIPPY® Peanut Butter, then mix well until completely combined and smooth. Add the icing sugar to the bowl and mix again until combined.
Remove the white chocolate cups from the freezer and divide the peanut butter between the cups, smoothing them down with the back of a spoon to level them. Return to the freezer and chill again for another 10-15 minutes until set.
Melt the remaining white chocolate. Remove the cups from the freezer and spoon the melted white chocolate over the top to seal the peanut butter in. Tap the cups gently to level out the chocolate, then add 1 smartie nose, and chocolate chip eyes and mouth to each cup to turn them into snowmen.
Return to the freezer and chill again until set.
Once completely set and hard, remove from the freezer and pop the peanut butter cups from the silicone cases. Use a small sharp knife to trim any excess chocolate from the edges.
Wrap up in cellophane to give as gifts or serve up as a fun festive treat for your family and friends!
