    Toffee the Cat Lunch

I made this lunch on a childminding day when my lovely little charge was missing Small Child a little.  It's amazing the power that fun food has to turn a frown upside down!

I made a cute cat shaped ham sandwich using my cuteZcute cutters, decorated with a little cucumber.  I then added some cheddar cheese fish (with cucumber skin eyes) and some cucumber 'whiskers'.

As we were at home, I made 'pudding' up on a plate instead of in a box (the first part of the lunch was in a box because of a request for lunch in a box "like 'Small Child' has"!). I was inspired by a friend who recently posted some pictures of food arranged inside cookie cutters (thanks for the idea Sylke!), and dug out a big cat cutter from my Halloween box.  I arranged slices of clementine inside the cutter, added a couple of raisin eyes and some sliced green grapes for the cat to walk on.

There was much delight at the edible 'Toffee the cat' (a certain someone has a real ginger cat at home!).

Thanks Sylke, it lasted about 5 seconds before being eaten!

Love the use of the cookie cutter for the cat! My daughter would not be interested in eating orange wedges if I just put them in a bowl, but in at cat? She'd gobble them down! Pinning now!
