Sweet Treats for Lunch & #FunFoodFriday

Good morning, and welcome to another Fun Food Friday! Thank you if you linked up last week, there were some great posts linked up!  If you’ve been making any fun food recently, whether it be lovely lunches, creative cakes, or a recipe you’ve blogged, please do join in the link up below and share the inspiration around!  I do my best to comment on and tweet every post that’s linked up, and I pin them all to my special Fun Food Friday Pinterest board too.

I had a lot of fun making the lunch I'm showing you today - it's full of sweets but it's pretty healthy too - win win! Small Child was looking through my food pick collection and asked me to use the Sweet Treat picks - I thought they made for a fun theme.  If you like the look of this food pick set, it's currently on special offer in the Eats Amazing Shop for only £3.50 a set!

In this lunch Small Child had ham sandwiches on seeded bread, cut into tiny squares using the Funbites cutter, then stacked up and skewered on polka dot picks (I thought they looked a little like smarties). On the side he had some more ham, rolled and skewered on heart picks, carrot sticks and cucumber slices, cut into 'dounuts' using circle cutters and decorated with donut picks, a plum, stoned, sliced and decorated with more of the sweet treat picks, and some natural yoghurt, topped with a few rainbow sprinkles.  Of course I couldn't send this lunch without at least one real treat, so I popped a gold chocolate coin in the smallest compartment.

Small Child said he really enjoyed this lunch, he was especially delighted to find the chocolate coin in there, as I slipped it into the box as a surprise when he wasn't looking. Perhaps I should send a lunchbox full of sweets more often!

Now it’s your turn, what fun food have you been making recently? Please link up your foodie posts below and share the inspiration around. You can also link up Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pictures if you don’t have a blog of your own.

A few quick reminders before you link up; please visit some of the other blogs that have linked up and leave them a comment – we all love comments! If you are linking up from your blog, please grab the button below too, and put it either in your blog post or somewhere on your blog. Both old and new posts are very welcome, and do feel free to link up several posts if you’d like.

Thank you, I do have a lot of sprinkles lying around from when I used to make a lot of cakes - they come in handy for lunches!
