A simple panda themed lunch today in the TUMTUM lunch box I reviewed last week. After using my new CuteZcute Animal Palz set to make my first pocket sandwiches recently, I was inspired to use the egg mould function to make a panda egg. The egg mould couldn't be easier to use, and the egg came out perfectly!
In this lunch Small Child had a pile of ritz crackers, a hard boiled egg moulded into a panda using the CuteZcute Animal Palz set, half a (very big) apple, with a panda face cut from the skin using the CuteZcute Animal Friends Cutter Set, raw carrot, cut into flowers using mini bento cutters, and some spaghetti cheese, topped with a panda pick. I thought the apple ended up looking more like a lion once I'd put the carrots around it, but you get the idea!
Here's a close up of the panda egg. I added small half circles of carrot to make the ears, as suggested in the instructions that came with the set, and popped it into a square silicone cup to keep it separated from the ritz cracker. I think it's so cute!
I also added a reusable food pouch filled with organic strawberry yoghurt to Small Child's lunch bag (not shown). He really enjoyed his panda lunch, and ate the whole thing.

Hi, I can't find the CuteZcute Animal Palz set in your shop? Do you stock it?
Grace says
Hi Jacqui, I hope to stock the CuteZcute Animal Palz set at some point in the near future, but I don't have it in the shop yet. It is available from Bento USA (http://www.allthingsforsale.com/bento-cup-mold/3287-cutezcute-mini-pocket-sandwich-maker-and-egg-mold-kit-animal-palz-859025003103.html), but there would be international postage charges (assuming you are in the UK). I do hope to have it in the shop within the next month or two.

This is so cute! I have just started following you and am really enjoying looking at your uber creative lunchboxes... our ones look so boring in comparison! Mel

Thanks so much Mel! I think I enjoy making them as much as Small Child enjoys eating them!
