    Easy Pitta Monster Lunch

This lunch was such a quick and easy one to put together, that I decided to take a couple of photos of it - one simple one with just the food, and a second one with a few small changes which made it really fun for Small Child. This shows just how quick and easy it can be to make lunch extra fun!

In this lunch Small Child had a wholegrain seeded pitta bread, toasted, split and filled with tuna and sweet corn, which I mixed together with a squidge of salad cream.  On the side he had yellow pepper strips, a mini Babybel cheese and some red and green grapes.  He also had a frozen organic yoghurt tube (not shown).

To make it more fun, I rearranged the pitta pockets and added a couple of jelly eyeball sweets (a nod to the fast approaching Halloween season!), cut 'eyes' from the wax of the Babybel, added a hat pick, rearranged the yellow pepper sticks to make it look a little like a monster, and added some alphabet picks spelling out 'BOO'.

Eats Amazing - simple steps to make a plain lunch fun for kids - add eyes and food picksThe changes took less than a minute to carry out, and were much appreciated by Small Child!

Thanks, I'm not sure that the other children know what to make of Small Child's lunches!

        Thanks Natalie!

I had to order the alphabet picks from the US, but if you're interested they will be stocked in the Eats Amazing shop, which should be opening in the next week 🙂

Oh you clever thing! And I love the before/after comparison - huge difference in the appeal level.

Thanks for linking up to #recipeoftheweek. I've Pinned and Stumbled this post, and there's a new #recipeoftheweek linky just gone live. I'd love you to pop over and join in again with another fab recipe post 🙂
