    Charlottes Web Book Bento Lunch

Last Thursday was World Book Day here in the UK, and to celebrate, I followed my annual tradition of making book themed lunches for Small Child for the whole week around the day itself. I shared the first of them, this fun Alice in Wonderland lunch last week, but due to technical glitches with the Eats Amazing website and also preparing for a big house move I'm only just getting around to sharing the rest of them! Today I have a Charlotte's Web themed lunch to share.

Charlotte's Web was one of my favourite books as a child and it brought me so much pleasure to read it to my oldest child for the first time recently.  He suggested it as a theme for this lunch and I was relieved to have something fairly doable to theme the lunch around!

In this lunch I packed a cheese and marmite sandwich, topped with a piece of tortilla wrap which I decorated with an attempt at Charlotte's web, drawn on with an edible marker pen. On the side I packed sliced carrot and a sliced mini pepper topped with a sheep cupcake pick, fresh mango chunks decorated with a pig cupcake ring and a fruit string 'web' topped with a spider taken from one of our spiderweb cupcake rings. This lunch as packed in our Yumbox Panino bento box.

Small Child seemed suitably impressed with his lunch, he seemed particularly impressed that the spider web on the sandwich was recognisable!

I'll be back with the next of my World Book Day lunches very soon, but in the meantime do check out the many book themed lunches I've made over the years, or pop over and follow my book themed food Pinterest board for lots of fun book themed food ideas from all around the web! If you're looking for more lunch box inspiration, check out the creative bento lunch section here on the blog for over 400 cute and easy bento lunch ideas!
