Today I'm sharing another week's worth of easy, healthy bento lunch ideas. As I said when I shared a similar set of simple lunches last year, I have stacks of photos in my archives of plain and simple lunches that I often think aren't interesting enough to share here on the blog, but I've come to the conclusion that these less 'fancy' lunches are very bit as useful as my more creative efforts, as they provide very realistic ideas for busy mornings when time is at a premium. I absolutely love making creative food and lunches, but some mornings I just don't have the time and energy to do more than pop some food in a box and throw in a few decorations to make them fun!
One of the reasons I've always championed the idea of bento lunches so passionately is because they really are one of the quickest and easiest ways to pack a delicious healthy lunch for kids, and I hope these lunches show you can still make a fun and interesting lunch with minimal effort (and maybe a few fun bento accesories!).
Lunch 1: Rolled ham in a star shaped silicone cupcake case, ritz crackers, sliced baby sweetcorn, mini red pepper topped with an eye bento pick, rambutan, natural yoghurt and some raisins in the dip well. This lunch was packed in our blue Yumbox bento box.
Lunch 2: Sandwich thin filled with tuna mayo and sliced cucumber, raw sugar snap peas, strawberries, blueberries, natural yoghurt and raisins, decorated with a daisy bento pick. I added a couple of cow cupcake rings and alphabet bento picks spelling out 'MOO' to decorate. This lunch was packed in our gelato blue Yumbox panino bento box.
Lunch 3: Tortilla wrap filled with leftover fajita chicken (check out my child friendly fajita marinade recipe here), peppers, cucumber, lettuce & sour cream. I rolled up the wrap, sliced it in half and popped in a couple of boat bento picks to hold them together until lunch time. On the side: red grapes and raspberries, decorated with cute duck bento picks and a mini Babybel cheese, popped into a silicone cup with a wax boat cut from the wax to decorate (I used a mini bento cutter for the boat). This lunch was packed in our Polar Gear Bento Box.
Lunch 4: Leftover roast chicken, leftover boiled potatoes, raw carrot disks and mini red pepper, blueberries and pomegrante seeds, natural yoghurt with a swirl of honey and raisins. This lunch was decorated with bento picks from the following sets: rabbit bento picks, animal face fork picks, bright animal fork picks and duck bento picks and was packed in our Yumbox bento box.
Lunch 5: Homemade pizza whirls from the freezer (take them out of the freezer the night before to defrost), decorated with eye bento picks and hat bento picks, sweetcorn in a silicone cup, chunks of melon and red grapes decorated with little people bento picks, natural yoghurt, raisins and a treat of some sprinkles to put on the yoghurt. This lunch was packed in our Yumbox bento box.
I hope this post has given you a few fresh ideas for simple and delicious bento lunches, you'll also find over 400 other ideas in my bento lunches section here on the blog!

I love bento lunch boxes, my boys think they are great! I love these fun ideas too, nothing worse than the same old lunch day after day. Bento boxes definitely make it easier to utilise leftovers from dinner for lunch the next day!
