Today I'm continuing the fun Halloween recipes with these easy Monster edible wands! This breadstick wands recipe is really easy to make and a great treat to add to your Halloween party food.

Monster breadstick wands - this fun recipe is perfect for kids Halloween party food and treats

I created these fun monster wands using some of the easy homemade Halloween sprinkles that I shared with you yesterday. I chose to use the green and purple sprinkles but any other colour of your choice would work too.

If you’d like to try your hand at making your own Halloween sprinkles, check out the instructions and my quick video tutorial here: Homemade Halloween Coconut Sprinkles Recipe.

This recipe is another great one to make with kids - it's really easy and even very young children can get involved - dipping the wands, sprinkling over the coconut sprinkles, adding the candy eyes and of course taste testing and licking the bowl afterwards!

    Method:

Line a baking tray or plate with grease proof or baking paper – be sure to check that it will fit in your fridge first.

Break up the white chocolate and place it in a microwave safe bowl.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring between each one to ensure it melts evenly. Be careful not to overheat or burn the chocolate, heat only until just melted and smooth.

Working quickly, dip each bread stick in the chocolate to coat the top half. You may need to spoon some of the chocolate over the breadstick to help cover it.  Allow any excess chocolate to drip off the breadsticks before placing on the lined tray. Repeat until you have dipped as many breadsticks as you require.
