    Eyeball Quesdilla & #FunFoodFriday

Today is Friday again (where did that week go?!) and that means Fun Food Friday! Whether it be lovely lunches, creative cakes, or a recipe you’ve cooked with your children, please link up below and share the inspiration around.  Anything goes, as long as it’s edible!

As it's half term I haven't been packing lunches this week, but I have still been making fun food for Small Child.  It was the run-up to Halloween so I made him this eyeball quesadilla lunch earlier this week. It was very quick and simple to make, and made him smile.  I used a tortilla wrap, left over from dinner the night before, and added grated cheddar cheese and sliced German sausage before folding it in half and gently heating it in a dry frying pan.  Once the cheese had melted I took the quesadilla out, and cut it into two circles which I piled on top of each other to make the eye.  I added a raw carrot disk and decorated it with edible pens to make it look more like an eyeball.  I also added disks of raw purple carrot around the sides of the plate, also decorated with an edible marker pen to look like eyes.

I love the quesadilla - it's fantastic! I'm going to try it on my toddler Milin. He's not a great eater, but this is just the kind of thing I need to do to convince him that food is fun. Thank you for the inspiration x
