Frog Themed Muffin Tin Meal & #FunFoodFriday

Today is Fun Food Friday again, have you been making any fun food recently?  Whether it be lovely lunches, creative cakes, or a recipe you’ve cooked with your children, please link up below and share the inspiration around.  Anything goes, as long as it’s edible!

Small Child enjoyed his Halloween muffin tin meal so much last week that on Monday I decided to make him another one, for his lunch on the last day of his half term holiday.  This was very quick and easy to put together, and I was really pleased with how it turned out.  As I was preparing it Small Child asked whether I was making an 'exciting lunch' for him, and once it was revealed he cheered with delight that I had indeed.  Moments like that make me feel that perhaps I'm not completely mad after all!

In this lunch Small Child had a wholemeal pitta bread, toasted, sliced into strips and decorated with leaf picks.  He had some lovely crunchy raw mange tout, a frog shaped silicone cup full of organic houmous, cubes of cheddar cheese and some mixed organic dried vine fruits with sunflower seeds.  I made a couple of flies from a raisins and sunflower seeds, and finished the lunch off with a couple of frog picks.

Eats Amazing - Frog themed muffin tin mealSmall Child was still hungry after that so I made him a dessert plate to match.  I used another frog shaped silicone cup, this time filled with organic raspberry yoghurt, and added sliced plums and red grapes.  I skewered the grapes on more leaf picks, and added the word 'RIBBIT' using alphabet picks.

Now it’s your turn! What fun food have you been making? Post a link to show us below!
