    Dinosaur Themed Muffin Tin Meal

Today it is one month since I launched my blog, so happy 1 month anniversary to me! I've learnt a lot, but also have an awful lot more to learn about running a website and blogging in general.  I'm pleased with my progress to date however, and with the food I've created for Small Child & friends so far.

Today I have another muffin tin meal to show you, this time based around dinosaurs.  I found some dinosaur silicone cups at a 'Cake & Bake' show I went to in London last week, and was waiting for the opportunity to use them.  I also saw this blog post from Keeley McGuire a couple of weeks ago and was 'dyeing' to try out the dyed dinosaur egg for myself (bad pun, I know!).

The meal was made up of the following; cheese crackers and poppy seed crackers decorated with a wooden dinosaur pick, some cucumber 'dinosaur teeth', some cheese trees decorated with another wooden dinosaur pick, some rolled up German sausage slices, a hard boiled egg dyed with food colouring in a dinosaur shaped silicone cup and some halved black grapes.

For pudding Small Child had some Frozen yoghurt 'dinosaur bones' (tutorial for frozen yoghurt shapes here) in a bowl decorated with some melon 'dinosaur spikes'.

This meal went down very well indeed; it even got a 'wow' from Small Child and I was really pleased with my first attempt at a dyed egg, especially since I was a bit rushed at the time.  I have a feeling they'll be appearing on the menu again soon.

How beautiful! My frozen stuff never comes out that clean looking! Of course, I would love to win your first giveaway...but hopefully someone who is just beginning their bento bend will be inspired and do the same for their kids. Good job, Miss Grace!

I am definitely going to try this. My daughter is a super fussy eater and getting her to try new foods is like pulling teeth... but dinosaurs? Now that might work...

With those cute bear silicone cups, I would have to make a Bear Snores On (book by Karma Wilson) meal for my kiddo. Those are adorable!

Congrats!! I love it! I'd use the small ones for bento dividers and use the bigger ones as snack trays!

I found some lovely mushrooms made from tomatoes sliced in half on top of an egg with both ends sliced off as the stalk, and dots of salad cream or mayonnaise to make the mushroom look like a fly agaric. Fun for a lunch box but important to warn children the real fly agarics are dangerous to eat!
