    Star Themed Yumbox Lunch

As you may have noticed, I am a big fan of the Yumbox bento box.  We received one from Yumbox UK to review several months ago and it has been in constant use ever since.  I have had a hugely positive reaction to the box whenever and wherever I've posted photos of it in action, it seems that everyone wants to get their hands on one! EDIT: If you're thinking of trying the Yumbox yourself, we now sell them in the Eats Amazing Shop!

The lunch I'm sharing today has a star theme, which I made by request of Small Child.  I like to get him involved as much as possible in packing his lunches, and thanks to the beautifully labelled Yumbox compartments he now has a really good idea of which food groups should be included to make a balanced meal.  He is usually full of suggestions for what we should pack in each compartment!

In this lunch Small Child had space themed pasta, topped with mini stars cut from carrot and cheddar cheese using a mini bento cutter, a hard boiled egg, shaped into a star using an egg mould, carrot disks, with star cut-outs, a plum, stoned and sliced, with blueberries and the rest of the carrot stars to decorate, and a portion of natural yoghurt, topped with a few star sprinkles.  I popped a few chocolate buttons into the smallest compartment as a little treat and added a mini bento spoon & fork to his lunch bag for the yoghurt and pasta.

Small Child was very happy with his star themed lunch and ate the lot!

As I'm on the topic of Yumboxes, I thought it would be fun to make a round-up collage of some of my favourite Yumbox lunches to date.  You can click on the individual images to be taken to the original blog posts where you'll find full details of each lunch (many thanks to Anyonita of Anyonita Nibbles for her fantastic tutorial on making a clickable collage!)

    Happy lunch packing!

OMG, Grace this is a fantastic round up & beautiful collage!! And I LOVE the idea of that star-themed lunch; I think I'll be trying to incorporate that THIS week for my son's lunch! I've had your website opened in a tab on my phone for nearly a month now, looking at all your beautiful ideas and those fab products! I can't wait to start purchasing some as we're planning on doing more lunches at home 🙂
