I've been on a bit of a roll with creating colour themed lunches recently - here's my third one, celebrating the colour orange! This was very simple and quick to throw together, and helped me use up some of the surplus orange foods I had knocking around in my fridge.
In this lunch Small Child had a plain bagel, split and filled with ham, then topped with alphabet picks spelling out 'ORANGE' and an orange crayon pick. On the side he had a mini orange pepper, cut into rings, raw carrot, cut into flower shapes, and slices of orange. I added a couple of orange animal picks and some orange polka dot picks to finish off this orange themed lunch. I thought the polka dot picks made the orange slices look like a little monster!
I also added a reusable food pouch filled with organic vanilla yoghurt to Small Child's lunch bag (not shown). This simple lunch went down well with Small Child, with very little food left.

love it! I'm sure we've got some of those alphabet picks hiding in a cupboard somewhere - I will have to dig them out. x
