Lego Star Wars Lunch & #FunFoodFriday

In today's post I'm sharing a Lego Star Wars Lunch that I made recently, which is one of Small Child's favourite lunches to date.  It was fun to make and I was really pleased with how it turned out too.

This week has gone far to quickly, and I must admit to feeling all confused about which day of the week it is because Small Child has a day off school today (sadly no snow here, just an inset day!). I intend to thoroughly enjoy our 3 day weekend, hopefully with lots of lovely quality time with my boys. I've checked and assured myself that it is indeed Friday, so you know what that means - it's #FunFoodFriday!

As usual for my Friday blog posts, this post contains a linky.  If you’ve written any foodie posts, whether it be children's meals, creative cakes, lovely lunches or a delicious recipe you’ve blogged, do feel free to join in and add your link at the bottom of the post. I try to comment on and tweet every post that’s linked up over the course of the week and I pin them all to my special Fun Food Friday Pinterest board too.

Here is today's fun food from me - as I mentioned above it's a Lego Star Wars themed bento lunch.  This was a theme requested by Small Child - two of his favourite themes in one lunch box! This lunch was packed in our Lego Lunchbox, and I used the mini snack boxes too. In this lunch were some Lego block ham and cream cheese sandwiches (to make these, I cut the sandwiches into rectangles and using a round mini bento cutter cut the 'dots' from leftover bread, sticking them on with a dab of cream cheese), one small carrot and a mini cucumber, which I sliced to make more 'dots', red and green grapes skewered on lightsaber picks, a hard boiled egg, which I moulded into a Lego block (you can see full instructions for how I did it here), and a clementine, which I peeled and decorated with a Yoda cupcake ring.

I also packed some organic yoghurt in one of our reusable food pouches (not shown).  Small Child absolutely loved this lunch!

Now it’s your turn to share! Have you been making any fun food recently? Please link up your foodie posts below and share the inspiration around. You can also link up Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pictures if you don’t have a blog of your own.

A few quick reminders before you link up; please visit some of the other blogs that have linked up and leave them a comment – we all love comments! If you are linking up from your blog, please grab the button below too, and put it either in your blog post or somewhere on your blog. Both old and new posts are very welcome, and do feel free to link up several posts if you’d like.
