    Football Lunch & #FunFoodFriday

Good morning, and welcome to another Fun Food Friday! Thank you if you joined me last week, there were some great posts linked up!  If you’ve been making any fun food recently, whether it be lovely lunches, creative cakes, or a recipe you’ve blogged, please do join in the link up below and share the inspiration around!  I do my best to comment on and tweet every post that’s linked up, and I pin them all to my special Fun Food Friday Pinterest board too.

So apparently there's some big football tournament going on at the moment...?! I'm not too bothered about the football, but it's the perfect excuse for a themed lunch! In all seriousness, we as a family have pretty much zero interest in football normally, unless you count kicking a ball around in the park, but I do like a bit of World Cup action when England are playing - any excuse to get in a patriotic mood and wave some flags around!

In this lunch Small Child had some football shirt tortilla crisps (I was quite proud of those, I cut them out free-hand!), decorated with a red edible marker pen, chicken slices, cut into circles and topped with a sugar football cake topper, sliced cucumber and broccoli, green grapes decorated with alphabet picks spelling out 'GOAL' and a pile of 'footballs', made from organic natural yoghurt, frozen in a silicone mould.  I had intended to add houmous too to go with the tortilla chips, but we'd run out so he was delighted to have some dark chocolate chips instead.

Eats Amazing - Football Themed Bento Lunch in the YumboxSmall Child enjoyed this lunch, although he grumbled about the broccoli, as it's 'not his favourite'!

Now it’s your turn, what fun food have you been making recently? Please link up your foodie posts below and share the inspiration around. You can also link up Instagram, Facebook or Twitter pictures if you don’t have a blog of your own.

A few quick reminders before you link up; please visit some of the other blogs that have linked up and leave them a comment – we all love comments! If you are linking up from your blog, please grab the button below too, and put it either in your blog post or somewhere on your blog. Both old and new posts are very welcome, and do feel free to link up several posts if you’d like.

With the amazing Dutch result last night - you could continue the football theme with an all orange lunch - satsuma? wotsits? carrot? mashed sweet potato and rice pudding coloured with saffron?

Yum! I think I'll avoid football for a while though, too gutted after last nights game!
