    Easter Bunny Bento Lunch

We're in the middle of a house move at the moment so time is short and photo taking of packed lunches is rather sporadic, but I managed to grab a quick photo of this fun Easter Bunny Bento earlier this week and thought you might like it!

The sandwich was inspired by a member of the Eats Amazing Lunch Packing Community group, who posted a while back with her method for zero waste when it comes to fun sandwiches - simply cut a shape from the middle of the sandwich using a fun shaped cookie cutter, then pack the sandwich in a lunch box with the crusts intact - perfect for bigger appetites and it creates no waste whatsoever!

In this lunch Small Child had a roast beef sandwich on seeded bread, with a bunny rabbit shape cut from the bread to decorate. I finished the bunny off with a couple of edible eyes (you can make your own edible eyes or order them online). On the side I packed strips of raw yellow pepper, raw carrot, decorated with leaf bento picks, a clementine, decorated with a different leaf bento pick, red grapes decorated with rabbit bento picks and a mini Babybel Cheese, cut in half. This lunch was packed in our blue Yumbox Panino bento box.

I hope to share some more Easter fun with you before the big day, fingers crossed I can find my way to my camera again through all the boxes!

Wow! I am looking around parenting blogs researching what information is out there on car seats for parents, but I have discovered some amazing tip bit gems that I will definitely be using as I am a stay at home Dad. The cookie cutter for the sandwich is one such awesome tip I have found.

You have opened my eyes when it comes to packed lunches - my daughter's pre-school lunch club will never be the same!
