Today I'm sharing my Goodbyn lunch boxes review. I've been looking out for the Goodbyn lunch boxes for several years now, but I hadn't been able to find a stockist here in the UK, so I was delighted when Made Sustained, a lovely company based in The Netherlands who create and distribute innovative, sustainable products, contacted me to ask if I would like to try out the Goodbyn range.
They very generously sent over several different lunch boxes and lunch sets for me to try, and I was so impressed with them that within a week I had ordered almost the entire range to stock here in the Eats Amazing Shop!
I really love this whole range of bright, chunky lunchboxes, which come in five bold and beauitful colours (blue, red, green, pink and purple). The boxes are great to look and to carry, with lovely rounded corners and no sharp edges. They are all nice and deep, so have room for plenty of food, and the selection of very different designs available makes them ultra flexible, with a box to suit every food transportation need!
I had five different products to try, so I'll try to keep each mini review fairly short and sweet. I'm sure you'll be seeing plenty of these lunch boxes in future blog posts here on the Eats Amazing Blog, and I'll let you know how they perform over the whole school year. The products I had to try were the following; Red Goodbyn Hero (with Red Goodbyn Dippers included as part of the set), Green Goodbyn Bynto, Blue Goodbyn Portions on the Go lunch set, Purple Goodbyn Small Meal Lunch Box and the Goodbyn Bottle. Other products in the range which I've not included in this review are the Goodbyn Snacks box and the Goodbyn Little Dipper.
Goodbyn Hero
This box is the biggest in the range, and the biggest lunch box that I currently own too. I love the large compartment, which is perfect for holding larger items including a full sandwich. The two smaller compartments are a great size for holding portions of fruit or vegetables, and the box also comes with a set of matching dippers - smaller lidded leak-proof containers which are perfect for dividing the box up further or holding portions of yogurt or dip. The smaller dipper pot fits inside the small compartments of the lunch box, and the bigger one fits nicely in the large compartment. The dipper set is also available separately, in a range of colours to match the lunch boxes.
The box has a built in carry handle - handy if you don't want to pack it in a lunch bag, and the lid has rounded overhanging tabs, making it easy to remove, even for little hands. The Goodbyn bottle (available separately) fits nicely in the large compartment, leaving plenty of room to pack a slightly smaller meal.
Below is a lunch I recently packed for Small Child - as you can see there is a lot of space in this lunch box! When I use it for Small Child, I'll probably also pack the bottle most of the time, as the box is slightly on the large side for him at the moment. I think this box is particularly great for older children and adults - the large compartment would be perfect for holding a hearty salad or a couple of rounds of sandwiches, and the leaf proof dipper containers add lots of extra flexibility.
Goodbyn Bynto
This lunchbox is smaller than the Goodbyn Hero, and much better for younger children in my opinion. It has three compartments of varying sizes, and the bottle (available separately) was designed to fit perfectly in the middle compartment of the lunch box. The leak-proof dipper set (also available separately) also fits nicely in this box, so if you had a set you'd be able to pack wet foods like yoghurt in this lunch box too.
Like the Goodbyn Hero, this lunch box has a handy carrying handle and an easy to open lid. I really like this lunch box, I think it's really quite unique, I haven't seen any other lunch box quite like it! The compartments are a really great size for holding all sorts of foods, and the extra accessories, which have been perfectly designed to fit within the box, complement it and add and extra layer of flexibility to your lunch packing. I can see myself using this lunch box a lot over the coming school year, so look out for it appearing regularly here on the Eats Amazing blog!
Goodbyn Portions on the Go
This simple but beautifully designed lunch box set is another one that is incredibly flexible. I've found myself using the various containers in the set for holding all sorts of leftover bits and pieces on an almost daily basis. The set comes with a large square box, smaller rectangular box and two of the smaller dipper boxes, all of which have lids and nest beautifully within the square box. The smaller containers can be used to divide up the main lunch box and allow you to pack a good variety of different foods in one box, or can be used individually to carry smaller portions of food to supplement the food in the main box. This box has room enough to carry a small meal, and is also great for carry snacks for the whole family! Because of the flexibility of it, I think that this box would suit all ages, from toddler to adult!
I used this set to carry a variety of crudites for a family picnic recently - it was absolutely perfect! I managed to pack loads of carrot sticks, a good handful of mini tomatoes (tomberries) and a decent portion of houmous for dipping, then once the lids were on I found there was also room for a row of mini peppers on top. Everyone was really impressed with how much food I managed to pack into such a compact box!
Goodbyn Small Meal
The Goodbyn Small Meal is great for younger children, or for carrying snacks. As you can see in the photos below, I used it recently to carry a selection of fruit for the whole family to snack on when we were out and about - it easily had room for a couple of apples (sliced and dipped in a mixture of lemon juice and water) and a very large portion of grapes. My only disappointment with this box is the fact that it's slightly too small to hold the Goodbyn water bottle - if it had fitted it would have been the perfect size to hold a small snack in one side and water in the other, however the box is still a great size and really handy for holding a smaller meal or snacks for a day out. Like the other Goodbyn boxes, it has a lovely curved, easy to open lid, and is chunky, sturdy and hard wearing.
Goodbyn Bottle
The Goodbyn Bottle was designed to go with the Bynto and Hero lunch boxes, and it fits perfectly within both of them, as I've shown below. The bottle comes in the same five colours as all of the other Goodbyn sets, so you can buy one to match your lunch box if wanted. It features an easy to open lid and nice wide spout to drink from, so it's easy to use, great even for younger children.
Overall, as I said above, I am really really impressed with the whole Goodbyn range. The boxes are so bright and cheerful and feel lovely to hold and carry. As they are all quite deep, there is room for packing plenty of foods in all of the lunch boxes. I love how the range features all different shapes and kinds of lunch boxes, there really is one to suit everyone. All Goodbyn products are made from durable BPA free plastics, are freezer safe and dishwasher safe, and at the end of a long life of carrying lunches, can even be recycled! I like how these lunch boxes are a little quirky and different in style - Small Child thinks that they are really cool!
The biggest seal of approval that I can give a lunch packing product is to invest in it by stocking it in the Eats Amazing Shop, and that is exactly what I have done with these! Eats Amazing is the first UK retailer to carry the whole range of Goodbyn lunch boxes, and I hope you will all love this collection of bright and cheerful eco friendly lunch boxes as much as I do!

Probably the Hero! I have younger kids, and even though they can eat a ton, lunchtime at school only leaves them enough time to eat a smaller meal. Thanks for a chance to win!
