I was recently contacted by Bibetta to ask if I would like to try their lunch bags. I had a look at their website and I thought the bags looked great - made from thick soft neoprene, they are stretchy, insulated, and machine washable - all excellent qualities in a lunch bag, so I was delighted to give them a try. Today I'm sharing my thoughts in this Bibetta Lunch Bags review.
Bibettta lunch bags come in a range of 4 pretty designs and colours. We chose to try the turqouise birds and green owl designs, but also available are pink butterflies and blue fish. The nature inspired designs are quite subtle, but very pretty, and there's something for everyone. A really nice touch on each bag is the matching name tag - each tag is shaped to match the lunch bag design, with a bird on the turqouise birds bag and an owl on the green owl bag. The zip has a nice chunky zip pull on it too, which is made from soft plastic, making the bag easy to zip open and closed, even for little fingers.
The bags are stretchy, and can fit almost any lunch box going! The most important factor for me was which of my lunch boxes I could fit inside it, and after pulling out most of my lunch box collection, it turns out that it could hold all of them (one at a time of course!). Below I've listed the lunch boxes I tried in our lunch bags - all of them fitted well, some with a water bottle too. The tightest fit was our biggest lunch box, the Goodbyn Hero, but the bag still stretched easily around it and zipped up with no trouble.
The Bibetta lunch bag has a soft padded handle, which is really comfortable to hold and carry, and because it's made from neoprene it's naturally insulated, a really great feature for helping keep your lunch cool. I like to pack mini gel ice packs in with my children's lunch boxes, and these roomy, stretchy bags have plenty of room to fit them in with the lunch box. The most impressive feature to me is the fact that they can be thrown in the washing machine to be washed whenever necessary - no more niffy lunch bags, hurrah!
All in all, I'm really impressed with these lunch bags. As we're in the summer holidays I haven't had a chance to test their durability, as we've only used them a handful of times so far, but they look really well made and I have every faith that they will last well. I would love it if they came with the option of a shoulder strap, but apart from that I really can't fault them! The Bibetta lunch bags are available in four pretty colours from the Bibetta website, I highly recommend them!
