Bonfire night is fast approaching so I’ll be sharing a few fun bonfire and fireworks themed posts this week, starting with these easy fruit rockets which are perfect for firework party food, popping into lunch boxes or even just a fun and healthy snack idea to make with the kids!
I used foil cocktail sticks to give these rockets some extra sparkle, but you could use any type of skewers – it’s also a good idea to cut off sharp ends if you’re serving these up for younger children. Feel free to swap fruits in and out to suit your tastes too – raspberries, blackberries, melon and mango chunks would all work well too, to name just a few!
Easy Fruit Rockets
Ingredients: (makes 5 rockets)
- 5 strawberries
- 10 large green grapes
- 15 blueberries
Wash and dry the fruit, then hull the strawberries by chopping the tops off them.
Thread the blueberries and grapes onto the skewers, alternating between them.
Top each skewer with a strawberry to make a point at the top of the rocket.
Serve and enjoy!
