Start by making the carrot strawberries. Place the orange candy melts in a small microwave safe bowl and melt following packet instructions.
Line a plate with baking paper. Holding them by the green leaves, dip the strawberries into the candy melts to completely cover them. Place on the lined plate and pop in the fridge for a few minutes until completely set.
Line a divided lunch box (we used our Yumbox Panino bento box) with lettuce leaves. Pop the carrot strawberries in one compartment, then add the sugar snap peas, cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks.
Once you've prepared the sides, it's time to make the Peter Rabbit Sandwich!
Start by making up the sandwich with ham (or a different filling of your choice). Cut a small slice off the ham before adding it to the sandwich so you can use it for some of the features.
Draw a rabbit shape on a piece of card then use it as a template. Place the card rabbit on top of your sandwich and cut around it with a sharp knife to create the Peter Rabbit shape.
Using small round cookie cutters and round mini bento cutters, cut two ovals from the ham for the ears, and a rounded triangle for the nose.
From a dried fruit roll, up, cut 2 ovals for the eyes, a thin crescent and a small thin piece for the mouth, and six thin pieces for the whiskers.
Place the sandwich in the lunch box, then add the features to create Peter Rabbit. Place two dark chocolate chips on top the oval eye pieces to finish the eyes. You can also ‘glue’ the features to the sandwich with a little cream cheese or mayo if wanted.
