Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 eating apples
  • 600 g turkey breast mince
  • salt & pepper to taste (optional)
  • 1 Tbs olive oil

To serve:

  • wholemeal baps
  • lettuce leaves
  • sliced cucumber
  • sliced tomato
  • homemade potato wedges

Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients; chop the spring onions, finely chop or crush the garlic, grate the apple.
  • Place the spring onions, garlic, grated apple and turkey breast mince in a large bowl.  Season with salt and pepper, then mix together with your hands until well combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 6 balls then shape into burgers with your hands or a burger press. Place the burgers on a plate, cover and pop in the fridge for at least ½ hour.
  • Once ready to cook, brush each burger on both sides with olive oil.
  • Grill or griddle the burgers for 10-15 minutes, turning half way through, until cooked through.

Notes

Serve in wholemeal buns with sliced cucumber, lettuce and tomato and homemade potato wedges or chips on the side
