2spring onions
1clovegarlic
2eating apples
600gturkey breast mince
salt & pepper to taste(optional)
1Tbsolive oil
To serve:
wholemeal baps
lettuce leaves
sliced cucumber
sliced tomato
homemade potato wedges
Instructions
Prepare the ingredients; chop the spring onions, finely chop or crush the garlic, grate the apple.
Place the spring onions, garlic, grated apple and turkey breast mince in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper, then mix together with your hands until well combined.
Divide the mixture into 6 balls then shape into burgers with your hands or a burger press. Place the burgers on a plate, cover and pop in the fridge for at least ½ hour.
Once ready to cook, brush each burger on both sides with olive oil.
Grill or griddle the burgers for 10-15 minutes, turning half way through, until cooked through.
Notes
Serve in wholemeal buns with sliced cucumber, lettuce and tomato and homemade potato wedges or chips on the side
