Measure out the oats and milk into a microwave safe bowl, then add the vanilla extract and stir to combine.
Cook on high in the microwave for 3 minutes.
Remove from the microwave and stir again then place back in the microwave.
Continue to cook at 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the porridge is at your desired consistency.
Whilst the porridge is cooking, prepare the fruit; hull and roughly chop the strawberries, rinse the blueberries, raspberries and blackberries under cold water and drain on kitchen paper.
Mix the fruit together.
Once cooked, split the porridge between two bowls and top with the mixed fruit.
Drizzle both bowls with honey and sprinkle over flaked almonds, if using.
