Ingredients
6-8strawberries
hanful red grapes
hanful green grapes
handful blueberries
1large ripe banana
50gnatural yogurt
honey to taste (optional)
Instructions
Start by lining a baking tray with baking paper or tinfoil. This will make the fruit kebabs easier to remove once frozen. Make sure it fits into your freezer!
Prepare the fruit; wash and hull the strawberries, wash the grapes and blueberries, peel the banana and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Using kitchen scissors, cut the sharp ends off of 6-8 bamboo skewers.
Thread the fruit onto the skewers. We did all of ours in the same order for a pretty rainbow effect; 1 strawberry, red grapes, blueberries, green grapes and a banana slice, but you can put them on in any order or mix them up if preferred.
Place all of the kebabs onto the lined tray as you make them up.
Measure out the yogurt and mix in a little honey to sweeten if wanted (the honey is optional). Spoon the yogurt mixure into a small plastic freezer bag, then snip off a tiny corner and pipe drizzles of yogurt all over the fruit kebabs. This messy task was a particularly fun bit for the kids!
Pop the kebabs in the freezer and freeze for about ½ hour until the yogurt has frozen solid and the fruit is icy.
Carefully remove from the baking tray, serve and enjoy!
Notes
NOTES: Any leftover kebabs can be popped into a large freezer bag and enjoyed at a later date. If serving from solid frozen, take the kebabs out of the freezer and leave to soften a little for a few minutes to make them easier to eat.
