Ingredients

  • 1 pork breakfast patty
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter for brushing
  • 1 egg
  • 1 English muffin
  • 1 cheese slice

Instructions

  • Cook the sausage patty according to pack instructions. We used frozen patties which we fried in a little oil for 7-8 minutes, turning half way through.
  • Once the sausage patty is cooked, remove from the pan and keep warm until ready to serve.
  • Brush the inside of an egg ring and the frying pan with a little butter.
  • Break egg into the ring, then cover the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes until cooked through. If you don't have an egg ring, just break the egg straight into the pan - it might not look as neat but it'll taste just as good!
  • Whilst the egg is cooking, slice the muffin in half and pop each half into the toaster to lightly toast.
  • Once toasted, remove the muffin, brush with a little melted butter and add a slice of cheese to the bottom half. Add the sausage patty and the fried egg, then finish with the top half of the muffin.

Notes

For an extra authentic fakeaway experience, wrap your muffin in a square of baking paper and serve with hash browns and orange juice on the side.
